"We must never stop dreaming. Dreams provide nourishment for the soul, just
as a meal does for the body. Many times in our lives we see our dreams shattered
and our desires frustrated, but we have to continue dreaming. If we don't, our
soul dies..." - Paulo Coelho, 'The Pilgrimage'.

The Great Fall

How long had I been sitting on that wall?
For people to snigger and laugh about?
Unafraid I, but oh that last great fall
Laying there whilst they poked unable to shout
All the cavalry and all those kings men
Not one could help, instead they all just freeze
Call ambulance I wanted to say when
Alas someone rang as my breathing wheeze
Sirens, movement flashing by in my mind
I fought to stay alive though chances small
Contemplating how life had been unkind
A life of sitting on that damp cold wall
My purpose I repeated in my head
‘Cause I really did not want to be dead
